{West Michigan} Styled Shoot

Create what sets your soul on fire.

In theory this idea could forever feed the creative bug that is constantly lurking. In practice, this idea is difficult to accomplish. Between working full time, caring for my family & continuing to focus on building my photography business finding time expand my portfolio into other areas has been challenging.

I log endless hours on Pinterest, YouTube and social media absorbing, learning and admiring. My note book is filled with tips, tricks and ideas I have assembled along the way. It includes things I want to learn, skills I want to master. When I stumbled upon the opportunity to attend a styled shoot, I immediately knew this was my chance. I would for one day carve out time for myself, to explore a new territory. For one day I would challenge myself, step out of my comfort zone & take the time to further my knowledge & experience. The West Michigan Styled Shoot was the first time I had in person surrounded myself with a group of photographers. That day I had the opportunity to shoot in some harsh lighting conditions, learning additional posing & connect with some wonderful photographers. Hands down the experience made me better.
