{Small Town} Girl
I grew up in the small community of Dorr, MI. In all honesty in high school I counted the days until I was able to bust out into the great wide-open world to explore. At that time, I perceived our small country town as limited and confining. Upon graduating I quickly moved to the city of Grand Rapids and began my college career later purchasing a home not far from there. It was not until I had my son that I started to realize and long again for that small-town feel.
My husband and I purchased our home in Dorr several years ago. My son started school at the same place I attended, where I met my best friend. Still today there are many people from my past who I have been lucky enough to become reacquainted, with our children now having play dates. It is safe to say I fell in love with my small community and all it has to offer.
As I launched my photography business, I have always kept my roots in mind and enjoyed giving back to my community. Whether a charity event or a school fundraiser you may often see a contribution provided on behalf of Crystal Snider Photography. At times this may appear as a raffle give-way or in some cases it may be a mini session. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa through a mini session provided to Dorr Elementary as part of the school carnival. Turns out Lisa and her family reside just a few streets over from me, again small world, small town!
Sharing a glimpse of some of my favorite images from our session.
