{Winter Wonderland} James

In less than one year I have had the opportunity to work with the James family on three separate occasions. I cannot express how truly thankful I am for returning clients and the opportunity to watch families as they grow. I have said it once before but I truly believe you never realize how quickly life changes until you look through a box of old photographs. In this particular case, a file of customers final images.

We started with a combined maternity/family session in late summer at Vann’s Valley Event Center located in Shelbyville MI just south of Wayland. In spring I was delighted to be invited to capture newborn photos of Kollman at the home of the James family. We closed the year with the below holiday session at one of my favorite snow-covered locations in Dorr.

As I reflected back on our sessions over the last year it was clear how quickly sweet Kollman has grown. It really had me thinking about my sweet babies and the innocence of childhood. It’s definitely a reminder to slow down and take it all in. More importantly it is a reminder how important it is to me to photograph them as much as possible along the way.
